Dodgers star Yoshinobu Yamamoto stuns fans with bizarre gymnastics warmup ahead of game: ‘Bro is in the wrong sport’

Dodgers star Yoshinobu Yamamoto surprised fans on Monday night with an acrobatic warmup ahead of his team’s NLCS Game 1 clash against the Brewers.

Yamamoto did not pitch in the eventual 2-1 LA win, though he is set to get the start in Game 2.

And a day out from his next appearance for the Dodgers, the Japanese pitcher was seen doing a bridge stretch as captured on the Spectrum SportsNet broadcast.

Yamamoto then kicked his feet onto the wall and began climbing up before cartwheeling his way off.

And while the 27-year-old has performed well this year, fans didn’t know what to make of his curious preparations.

‘Bro is in the wrong sport,’ one wrote.

‘If you don’t take yo a** to Cirque Ole lmao,’ another said.

A third added: ‘I’ll nominate him for a slot on the Japanese gymnastics team.

And a fourth joked: ‘This is the same way that I get out of bed every morning. What’s the big deal?’

While Yamamoto wasn’t needed in Game 1, the Dodgers pitching staff held firm as they allowed just one earned run against Milwaukee.

Blake Snell tossed eight scoreless innings and 10 strikeouts, while Roki Sasaki and Blake Treinen combined to get the final three outs.

Freddie Freeman starred for the Dodgers in the win as he hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and a double in the eighth.

Yamamoto was strong on the mound in his second MLB season, as he posted a 2.49 ERA in the regular season and earned his first All-Star nod.

He lasted just 0.2 innings against the Brewers in July as he gave up five runs (three earned) in a start.
