Dodgers star Kike Hernandez suffered a very unfortunate bathroom accident during a playoff game, he has revealed.

While speaking to Kevin Hart on his ‘Cold as Balls’ show, the comedian said he heard that the utility player ‘s*** on yourself’ – before the baseball player confirmed the rumor.

Hernandez, 33, explained that he needed to take an antibiotic for a cracked root canal, and that a side effect of the medicine was diarrhea.

‘This point I’m in the game as a designated hitter, getting ready to go in the game,’ Hernandez recalled of the game. ‘Dustin May gets a strike out and I go ‘F*** yea!h’ and when I did that, I thought I farted.

‘So I go up the stairs to go hit and it’s kind of a different walk than usual…and I’m like alright, gotta try to focus, lock it in and get into it.

‘I struck out in three pitches and let me tell you, I’ve never been happier to strike out in my life.’

It’s unclear which specific playoff game Hernandez was referring to, though he’s largely played well in the postseason.

In 86 playoff games with the Dodgers, Hernandez has hit .278 with 15 home runs and 35 RBI.

He and his Dodgers teammates were able to celebrate a World Series win last year after defeating the Yankees in five games.

This year, the defending champions are off to a hot start as they lead the NL West with a 29-19 record.

They’ll face the Diamondbacks next on Tuesday night.
