Chelsea Freeman, the wife of Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman, took to social media on Thursday to share a candid update on her health from a hospital bed.
The 34-year-old mother of three posted a photo of her arm with an IV attached to her Instagram story, providing a glimpse into her ‘real life’ struggles to her followers.
‘Real life today,’ Chelsea wrote alongside the image, revealing to her followers that she was at the hospital to undergo a routine colonoscopy procedure.
She admitted that she had been feeling anxious about the appointment, writing: ‘Had a colonoscopy this morning. Was so nervous but the procedure was really easy.’
Despite the ease of the medical test itself, the lifestyle influencer noted that the lead-up was the most difficult part, adding: ‘The prep was my least favorite part.’
Chelsea explained that the discomfort was well worth the effort, stating the visit was ‘worth it for the peace of mind’ regarding her long-term health and wellness.

She used the platform to encourage others to take action, telling her followers: ‘If you’ve been putting something off… this is your sign to get checked.’
The health update was a swift one, as just two hours later, she posted a photo of herself enjoying fresh strawberries poolside to show she was feeling better.
‘Working on my @babylist registry while resting today,’ she added over the sunny photo, as the couple prepares to welcome their fourth child later this year.
Chelsea also reflected on how much the world of parenting has changed, noting: ‘Realizing I basically gave everything away from when the boys were babies.’
The Freemans, who married in 2014, are currently expecting a baby girl via surrogate, an announcement they shared with the public back in early February.
‘Worth the wait. Baby #4 is on the way and our hearts are already so full,’ the couple wrote in a joint Instagram announcement at the time.
They also expressed deep appreciation for their surrogate, writing: ‘We are incredibly grateful for the amazing woman helping bring our baby into our lives.’

This is not the first time the family has used surrogacy. They previously shared their struggles to conceive after the birth of their first son, Charlie, in 2016.
Freddie Freeman has previously called their path to a larger family an ‘inspirational story,’ detailing their multi-year struggle to conceive naturally.
The latest health update comes as a relief to fans who remember the family’s terrifying ordeal in 2024 when their son Maximus was hospitalized.
Maximus was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare autoimmune disorder that caused the toddler to become fully paralyzed and placed on a ventilator.
