A new programme helps social enterprises improve websites, digital strategy and AI use to support growth and income generation.
Social enterprises in Northern Ireland require a strong digital presence to communicate clearly, encourage action and generate income.
A new digitalisation programme, delivered by Sociale Enterprise NI (SENI) with support from the Department for the Economy and in partnership with Lockview, will support four organisations to enhance their online capabilities and website performance.
What the programme covers
The programme is designed to strengthen digital foundations and improve website effectiveness.
It will support participating organisations through the following areas
- develop a baseline digital strategy aligned to business growth and sustainability
- website development or enhancement, including creation of an initial e-commerce style website or upgrading an existing site to a buyer-focused format
- improved user experience, ensuring websites are easy to access, navigate and understand
- streamline processes using AI, introducing practical tools to increase efficiency and support income generation

By the end of the programme, participating organisations will achieve measurable improvements in their digital capabilities, including
- a clear digital baseline and improvement strategy
- a new or upgraded website designed to support income generation
- improved visibility and accessibility for buyers across sectors
- increased confidence in using digital and AI tools to support long-term sustainability
