Diego Costa has bizarrely claimed Antonio Conte ‘probably doesn’t have sex at home’ after labelling his former Chelsea manager as a ‘very bitter guy’ over their 2017 feud.

Costa scored 59 goals in 120 games for the Blues across three seasons, while he also won two Premier League titles with the club.

He left Chelsea in 2017 in acrimonious circumstances following a falling out with Conte. Conte had famously text Costa to suggest he wanted him to leave, with Costa then going absent without permission in Brazil.

Costa accused Chelsea of treating him ‘like a criminal’ by demanding a high fee, with the forward eventually leaving for his former club Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window in 2018.

He has aimed a series of digs a Conte in the past, describing his former boss as ‘very suspicious’ and stating that he needed to change the human side of his management.

In a renewed attack on Conte, Costa accused him of always being angry and lacking trust, while branding him a ‘bitter man’.

Diego Costa has taken another swipe at his former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte

‘He had something inside because he it is not normal for a coach to not count on a player who was his team’s top scorer,’ Costa told former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel’s The Obi One Podcast.

‘I sent the message to [director] Marina [Granovskaia] and she immediately told me what he did could not be done, that he was not the owner of the team.

‘In the end, I was in Brazil, I was with my family and I told Marina that for everything I’ve done for the club, I don’t deserve to be treated like this.

‘He’s a person who doesn’t trust others, he thinks he knows everything

‘You don’t enjoy training with him, he’s always angry, always with a long face.

‘He probably doesn’t have sex at home because he is a very bitter guy.

‘It is a shame because I was very happy in Chelsea, but I did not want to cause a problem to the club, because if I come back, the players want me to come back but nobody like him, that’s why he didn’t last long.

‘The past is the past, it is a shame, the titles he won at Chelsea, he won it with me for his bad luck. I wish him all the best with his life.’

While Costa left in January 2018, Conte would follow the forward out of Chelsea at the end of the season.

Conte was sacked by the Blues after missing out on Champions League qualification by finishing fifth, although he did lead the club to FA Cup success.

Costa would go on to play for Atletico Madrid from 2017 to 2020, before returning to Brazil with Atletico Mineiro.

The forward would later have spells with Wolves, Botofogo and Gremio in the latter part of his career.
