- Derek Chisora has stated that he is eager to end his career with a world title fight
- Chisora would relish the chance to take on Daniel Dubois this summer
Derek Chisora has expressed his desire to end his career with an ‘all or nothing’ world title fight.
This week the 41-year-old emerged as a surprise contender to take on IBF heavyweight Daniel Dubois this summer.
Dubois is eyeing his next fight after overcoming Anthony Joshua last year.
Chisora disclosed that he would be especially eager to fight at Wembley or the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
A potential unification bout between Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk has been mooted after the latter prevailed in August 2023.
However, promoter Frank Warren suggested that Usyk could face Chisora instead.

This week Chisora emerged as a shock potential opponent for Daniel Dubois
As reported by The Ring, Chisora said: ‘People have to think about business. I want to fight Daniel and I know for a fact I can sell out Wembley or Tottenham in that fight.
‘I want to give a shout out to the Manchester crowd who came out for my fight against Wallin and thanks to Frank Warren and Queensberry because it was unbelievable. It was a great show that ticked every box. But I knew what I was doing… it was not going to be the last one in the UK.
‘Now I’ve been planning everything for this final fight, the whole music, everything. It’s going to be a great show and there are two concepts I’m working on. One is for Wembley and one is for Tottenham. Whatever happens, they’re all going to be amazing.
‘A Sunday bank holiday this summer is what I want. I think that would f***ing amazing.’
Chisora dismissed suggestions that he could have a non-title fight prior to taking on the winner of a potential meeting between Usyk and Dubois.
He said: ‘Nah man, I’m 50 and out, definitely. I have to, I have to. I can’t keep doing this. I’ve only got one more training camp in me. I’m feeling it now. So my final fight will be for the world title, it’s all or nothing, brother.’
Does that mean he could happily walk away from boxing as the world heavyweight champion, without ever making a lucrative defence?
‘I could retire on that, definitely,’ he added. ‘I could just walk off into the sunset and leave everything there. That would be an amazing way to end it.’

Chisora is eyeing a high-profile final fight following his victory against Otto Wallin
Speaking this week about a potential opponent for Usyk, Warren said:
He told Sky Sports: ‘Chisora is [an IBF mandatory]. He won it in his last fight and everyone knew what the fight was going to be for.
‘He is the mandatory to our man, ‘Dangerous Dan [Dubois]’, so that’s the position he’s in.’
Chisora has won 36 of his 49 fights during his career, with his most recent success coming against Otto Wallin in Manchester last month.
