Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix received an extra special present for his birthday this year.

The signal caller, 26, who suffered a season-ending injury during the NFL playoffs, welcomed his first child with his wife, Izzy Nix.

Izzy gave birth to their daughter, Riley Belle, on February 25, which also happens to be Nix’s birthday.

Izzy, who married the NFL star in 2022, announced the happy news on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a series of adorable photos of their new bundle of joy.

‘Riley Belle Nix arrived on her dad’s birthday – 2/25/26 at 4:45pm, 6 lbs 11 oz,’ she wrote in the caption. ‘The best birthday party I’ve ever been to!!!!!!’

She added: ‘We are overwhelmed by the goodness of God and immeasurable joy that we have experienced this week! Thank you, Jesus, for choosing us to shepherd over her life.’

The new parents were pictured cradling their sweet newborn in the hospital, with Nix sporting a ‘Girl Dad’ cap as he lovingly draped an arm around his wife’s shoulders.

In another snap, the Broncos star could be seen carrying his new daughter out of the hospital.

Nix and Izzy first met during their college days at Auburn University, where she was a Tigers cheerleader and where he played for three seasons before transferring to the University of Oregon for the 2022 season.

Izzy graduated from the university in May 2022 and the pair wed two months later in Alabama, before relocating to Oregon.

Nix was selected by the Broncos in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and was later named Denver’s starter.

The happy news comes as a positive boost for Nix away from the field after his 2025 NFL season ended in disaster.

Nix broke his ankle in the final minutes of his team’s playoff win over the Buffalo Bills on January 17, ruling him out of the rest of the postseason with an issue that required surgery.

It meant Jarrett Stidham came in for the AFC Championship loss to the New England Patriots, with the Broncos falling agonizingly short in a 10-7 loss in the snow.
