Defending champion Eugenio Chacarra will take a four-stroke lead into the final round of the 2026 Hero Indian Open.

The Spaniard shot 70 in round three to stretch his lead over a tightly-bunched chasing pack led by South African MJ Daffue, a winner in New Delhi last week on the second-tier HotelPlanner Tour, and England’s Alex Fitzpatrick.

Chacarra said: “There’s still a lot of golf to play and around this course anything can happen. I had a good Moving Day but on this course four shots seems like nothing.”

Fitzpatrick added: “I’ve put myself in a good position going into tomorrow. Luckily I was in there not too long ago so hopefully I gained some experience from that, and (I’m) just excited for the challenge.”

Scotland’s David Law sits at five under alongside first-round leader Freddy Schott after a round of 70, with England’s Andy Sullivan among a group of three players one shot further back.
