Decision Maker: Director of Corporate Services
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Decision:
That the revised Risk
Management Policy be approved.
Reasons for the decision:
The Risk Management
Policy is subject to regular review and has been revised to
incorporate recommendations that were made by Devon Assurance
Partnership following an audit of the Council’s risk
management processes.
An EIA template has
been completed that confirms there are no adverse impacts. The
Council’s risk management framework brings about a
positive equality impact. This is because the framework
applies council-wide and highlights risks for every service,
as well as council wide. Any issues relating to meeting our
equality duty would be included in our risk registers and
mitigating actions addressed through application of our Risk
Management Policy.
Alternative options considered:
The alternative would
be that the existing Risk Management Policy remains in force.
The Policy is subject to regular review and this review takes
account of recommendations from Devon Assurance Partnership as well
as reflecting practice across the Council following the
Policy’s initial acceptance.
Implementation:
The decision will be
implemented immediately.
Information:
The Council’s
Risk Management Policy has been revised and now needs to be
agreed.
