David Beckham made a surprise appearance at Inter Miami’s training ground as the club finalises preparations for their Club World Cup opener.
The club co-owner and former England captaincut a relaxed figure in a grey T-shirt, white cap, and brown trousers as he watched the team train under the Florida sun.
Despite not being in kit, Beckham was seen briefly stepping onto the pitch, sharing laughs and handshakes.
At one point, the ball was at his feet as he casually kicked it about, drawing smiles from the squad. He also spent time in conversation with head coach Javier Mascherano.
Beckham’s visit comes just hours before Inter Miami face Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the opening match of the expanded tournament, with kickoff set for 1am BST tonight at the Hard Rock Stadium.
The match marks a major milestone for the MLS outfit, who only lifted their first trophy in 2023 following their Leagues Cup triumph.

Mascherano recently spoke about the significance of Inter Miami’s involvement, calling it a proud moment not just for the club, but for the city of Miami and U.S. soccer as a whole.
‘Obviously it means a lot for the club, for the city, for the country because it’s a competition with teams that have a lot of history,’ Mascherano said.
‘To be able to dream of competing and maybe, who knows, facing one of these great teams is truly a huge privilege.’
Inter Miami head into the FIFA Club World Cup as one of three Major League Soccer teams flying the flag for the U.S., alongside Seattle Sounders and LAFC.
The trio will join a star-studded lineup that includes European heavyweights Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City in the newly expanded tournament.
Inter Miami arrive under the spotlight, with Barcelona legends Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets drawing global attention.
Mascherano’s side will also face Portuguese giants Porto in the group stage as well as Brazilian side Palmeiras.
