The Celtics kept their season alive on Wednesday night, and Barstool founder Dave Portnoy was in good spirits as he taunted Knicks superfan Timothee Chalamet afterwards.
Facing a 3-1 series deficit and the loss of Jayson Tatum to a ruptured Achilles, the Celtics rallied in Game 5 at home to thrash the Knicks 127-102.
And following the emphatic win, Portnoy – who attended the game with his girlfriend Camryn D’Aloia – took to Instagram to poke fun at Chalamet, who sat near him courtside at Boston’s TD Garden.
‘See ya Monday Timmy,’ he captioned a photo of the pair talking, which was shared to his Instagram story.
Portnoy’s jab was a prediction that the Knicks will lose Game 6 on Friday, as the series would return to Boston on Monday for a potential Game 7.
The 48-year-old continued playfully ribbing the actor in a video posted to social media.

‘I’m sitting next to Timothee Chalamet, he’s wearing his sunglasses. Hey Timmy, hey Tim, I’ll see ya Monday night,’ he said.
‘Because they forgot about the heartbeat of this city, about the heartbeat of this team. They forgot about the 18 world championships. They forgot that the New York Knicks haven’t won a series that mattered in 30 years.
‘And yeah I know, we’re back against the wall, we don’t know where to look, we’re hurt, we’re bleeding, but we’re still the 18-time world champion Boston Celtics, and we’re not just gonna roll over,’ he continued.
Portnoy added that Knicks fans were about to witness their team lose the series in the ‘most excruciating fashion in history of Knickerbocker basketball.’
Both Portnoy and ‘Dune’ star Chalamet have been passionately cheering on their respective teams this series, with the latter an ever-present on Celebrity at Madison Square Garden.
For the Knicks’ Game 4 win, he even invited girlfriend Kylie Jenner, while her sister Kendall was also in the arena.
Kendall’s ex, reggateon star Bad Bunny, was also at the game, as were NFL star Stefon Diggs and Cardi B, who arrived together and are rumored to be dating.
Portnoy, meanwhile, saw his relationship with D’Aloia publicized last year when they were picked up by TV cameras sitting together at a Celtics game.

The Celtics’ stifling defense on Wednesday forced a Game 6 to be played in New York
The Barstool chief is known to be private about his relationships and called the incident ‘unfortunate’ afterwards.
Nonetheless, he was all smiles on Wednesday after the Celtics emphatically forced a Game 6.
Derrick White led all scorers with 34 points, while Jaylen Brown – last years Finals MVP – flirted with a triple double as he had 26 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.
Jalen Brunson poured in 22 points for the Knicks but fouled out with 7:19 remaining in the fourth quarter in what proved to be a brutal night for the Knicks.
It’s been an extremely eventful series, as the Knicks twice erased 20-point deficits on the road in Games 1 and 2 to earn a stunning 2-0 series lead heading back to New York.
Boston responded with an emphatic 115-93 win in Game 3 before dropping Game 4 121-113, and more importantly losing Tatum to injury in the process.
Game 6 is on Friday at 8pm.
