Dave Chappelle has said he was “shook” by the killing of Charlie Kirk.
In his new Netflix stand-up special, Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable, the comedian said that it is “hard to talk in America”, pointing to the assassination of the conservative activist in September.
“Because if you talk for a living and see Charlie Kirk get murdered that way, I’m gonna be honest, I was shook,” he said.
He also bluntly shut down comparisons between Kirk and Martin Luther King Jr, calling it a “reach”.
“You know, they both got murdered in a terrible fashion. They both got shot in the neck. But that’s about where those similarities ended.”
