Luke Littler is investing his World Darts Championship winnings on his first home – a £1 million luxury mansion in the town where he grew up.

The teenage sensation is on the property ladder after snapping up a sprawling five-bedroom property on the outskirts of Warrington, Cheshire, understood to be for his mother and father.

Estate agents describe his new corner plot home as a ‘stunning extended family home’, boasting high-end features including a hot tub, solar panels, and a vast open-plan kitchen designed for entertaining.

Littler, 18, nicknamed ‘The Nuke’, had been renting an exclusive £6,000-a-month property nearby with mother Lisa, 42, and taxi driver father Anthony Buckley, 45, following his extraordinary ascent in the sport.

Now, following his £1million payday at Alexandra Palace last week, the world No 1 has taken the next step by buying his own home outright.

Last night a source close to Littler said that he was understood to want the property to be his parents’ ‘forever home’.

‘Luke’s a young man. He’s bought this place and is living there with his mum and dad but in time he’ll spread his wings and the hope is they will stay there.

‘It’s not a bad Christmas present for them but it’s only what they deserve having done everything to help him get where he is today.’

The purchase marks a dramatic upgrade from the family’s former £180,000 two-bedroom semi-detached house in the town underlining just how quickly Littler’s life has changed since he burst on to the darts scene aged 16.

The impressive property boasts five bathrooms – one for every bedroom – alongside landscaped gardens, a double garage and driveway space for several vehicles.

Its showpiece master bedroom meanwhile features a separate dressing room, vaulted ceiling and a Juliette balcony overlooking the rear garden.

The house last changed hands in January 2021 for £710,000 before being marketed last year for close to £1million.

While the exact sum paid by Littler is unknown, his World Championship winnings mean the purchase will barely dent his growing fortune.

Littler sealed his second world title with a dominant 7-1 victory over Gian van Veen at Alexandra Palace last week, defending the crown he sensationally won at the age of 17.

Estate agents hailed the ‘spacious’ property as offering ‘excellent accommodation in a highly sought after location’, noting its underfloor heating, log-burning stove, bi-fold doors, wine coolers and high-spec kitchen.

Outside, the home is built for entertaining, featuring artificial lawns, resin patios, raised beds, a bar area and a hot tub beneath a pergola

While ‘reputable and well-established’ schools nearby may not yet be a priority for the teenager, one detail might sting – doner-loving Littler faces a two-and-a-half-mile journey to his nearest kebab house.

Littler, who first picked up a dart at 18 months, spent the first six years of his life in nearby Runcorn before moving to Warrington.

There he lived with his parents and sister Caitlin in a modest semi and later attended the local comprehensive, Padgate Academy.

The star, who was supported at the World Darts Championship final by girlfriend Faith Millar, 19, has since been enjoying the trappings of success away from the oche.

In November, he bought his first car – a personalised £39,000 BMW M Sport 120 – just days after passing his driving test.

Littler has already more than £2million in prize money across two years on the professional circuit, on top of lucrative sponsorship deals and Premier League earnings.

Asked how he would spend his Ally Pally winnings, Littler revealed he wanted to spend money on collectable football cards and ‘a few boxes’ to watch Manchester United.

He said: ‘Obviously, it’s a lot of money. I’m the first player to break the £2million mark.

‘Hopefully, I can try and get up to £3million.

‘Obviously, the money’s there. I’ve said it before in the past, us as a family we’ve never had this sort of money.’

Before his latest Ally Pally victory, his net worth was estimated at around £6.5million.
