Danica Patrick has once again felt the wrath of racing fans, with Fox viewers claiming her outfit choice for the Indy 500 was ‘inappropriate’.
The ex-Indy Car driver, and huge Donald Trump supporter, regularly splits fans with her TV appearances, be it for Formula 1 or IndyCar.
And it was much the same on Sunday, with her outfit choice leaving some bewildered ahead of one of the biggest days on the racing calendar.
‘Get a message to Danica if you can and have her change her outfit for the day,’ one wrote. ‘She looks like she has a curtain draped around her.’
Another added: ‘The black/white diagonally striped dress on Danica Patrick is hideous and shows poorly on TV. How in the heck was such a dress chosen for TV?? Really oblivious decision there.’
Meanwhile, a third called it a ‘fail’ and another noted that it was ‘not appropriate’ for the occasion.’

Others were on Patrick’s side, though, with one fan calling her ‘smoking hot’ and another posting: ‘WOW!!! Danica GREAT dress! You look awesome!’
Patrick chose a one-shoulder dress for the big day in Indianapolis, sitting on the pre-race panel among a host of famous names to discuss the race.
Its black and white color appeared to be a nod to the checkered flag that will greet the drivers when they reach the finish line later on Sunday.
Patrick’s outspoken political views have made her a regular source of controversy when she appears on TV – despite the president being a huge fan of her.

It is not the first time the motorsports analyst has split fans with her outfit for an appearance

She attended multiple MAGA rallies in the lead-up to the election and has been strong in her support of the Republican party and president Trump.
On Saturday, she also took to social media to post about the MAHA commission report, sharing a photograph of herself sat in front of a portrait of Trump showing the moments after he was shot last year.
In the race itself, it was a nightmare afternoon for Scott McLaughlin, who suffered a heartbreaking crash before the action had even begun.
While going through the pace laps, the New Zealander spun out and smashed into the barrier, before calling it the ‘worst moment of his life’.
