Quarterback Dak Prescott is anxious that the fallout from his bitter split with ex-fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos could wreck his chances of finally winning a Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys, sources have confirmed to the Daily Mail.

Prescott and Ramos had headed on a joint bachelor and bachelorette party in the Bahamas earlier this month but a blow-up argument during the celebrations sent their relationship spiraling, with their glitzy Italian wedding now canned.

Rumors have since spread far and wide that Ramos discovered her man had been sending messages to other women on a secret social media account, and earlier this week the Daily Mail reported that a groveling email had since been sent to wedding guests informing them the ceremony had been called off.

For Dak, 32, attention is already turning to his future as a single man and we can now reveal that he fears the romance drama off the field has the potential to impact his chances of winning the ring he wants the most.

‘Dak can dish it out himself but one thing he isn’t looking forward to in the upcoming season is the trash talk he’ll get on the field from fans and other teams,’ a source close to the player tells us.

‘The NFL has a tremendous amount of trash talkers, and with Dak playing for the Cowboys, so many fanbases hate them, so many other teams hate them.

Dak Prescott is fearful that his high-profile split could affect his chances with the Cowboys

The quarterback is concerned about vitriolic abuse he could face from the likes of Eagles fans

‘One spot he’s not looking forward to going to is Philadelphia this year, where their fanbase is brutal because both teams are such rivals. He is trying to prepare himself for the worst, because other players and fans are going to give him so much grief.’

The source then added that it would be Dak’s ‘worst case scenario’ if his failed marriage infiltrates his on-field performances, with the quarterback on a $240 million contract and the entire future of the Cowboys resting on his shoulders.

The Daily Mail revealed earlier this week that Prescott’s desperation for a Super Bowl ring was a huge part of the reason for their split, with Ramos, also 32, fearing married life would leave her miserable.

Our source revealed that she ‘chose her wellbeing over misery in a loveless marriage.’

In the 2026 season, the Cowboys are hitting the road to the likes of Philly, New York, Green Bay and Indianapolis – a host of brutal stadiums with raucous fanbases more than ready to fire their shots at Prescott.

Ramos, meanwhile, is leaning on her support network as she navigates the shock of the last few days.

Before the split was announced, she posted an array of pictures from her bachelorette, alongside the now telling caption: ‘I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much.’

In the days since, she has wiped any reference in her Instagram bio to being a ‘fiancée’. Her personal website still says she is engaged to Prescott, but it seems only a matter of time until that is gone too.

In an interesting quirk, it appears the couple’s wedding guests aren’t all devastated about the cancellation of the nuptials, given the war in the Middle East and the potential for travel drama heading across the pond to Europe.

Our source reveals: ‘Lots of friends who were going to be guests are sad for them but also relieved that they don’t have to travel now with all that is happening in the world right now.

‘Though Italy is not the place where the war is happening, many guests were dreading traveling, so the bad news for Dak and Sarah actually provided some good news for guests that were heading out. Now they can cancel those plans and do something else.’

Prescott proposed to Ramos in October 2024, seven months after the birth of their first child – daughter MJ.

In May 2025, they welcomed their second daughter, Aurora Rayne, to become a family of four.

Prescott, who played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, was selected by the Cowboys with the 135th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

After immediately becoming starting quarterback, he has made a total of 139 appearances in 10 years with the team, while racking up 35,989 passing yards for 243 touchdowns.
