- Fans slam video that invades Grace Hayden’s privacy
Cricket fans have taken to social media to condemn a video that invades the privacy of popular TV commentator Grace Hayden.
The 23-year-old, who is the daughter of Australian cricket legend Matthew Hayden, has recently returned to Australia from covering cricket in the subcontinent.
Since landing a breakout gig as Channel Seven’s Oaks Day Ambassador in 2022, the presenter, content creator, and model has built an excellent resumé and attracted a legion of fans.
However, many feel one fan crossed a line recently by filming Hayden while she was having a private moment on a FaceTime call in India.
In the clip posted to account @dailycricketshorts, Hayden is being filmed from behind while she is sitting down taking a private call in the stands. The face of the man she is talking to on the video call is visible.
The post, titled ‘Grace Hayden doing face time with [questioning emoji]?’, speculates on Hayden’s personal life and many fans believe it went too far.

‘Don’t do this. She is our guest. Just imagine what kind of an experience she will take back to Aus,’ posted one Instagram user.
‘This is a shame. Stop recording this kind of video without her consent…what she will think,’ replied another.
‘Why intruding someone’s privacy? Sad to see this,’ said a third.
Hayden, who has often spoken about her love for travel, answered questions from fans while on her flight back from India earlier this week.
One fan asked how Hayden managed being away from home for such long periods of time.
Hayden responded: ‘Look I love to travel and always have and I’m so lucky my job takes me to so many incredible places all around the world.
‘I think you have to love what you do, have a good understanding support network of friends and family because not everyday will be easy, and learn to embrace the place you are & find parts of home when you are away from home.’
Hayden, who has often spoken about her love of Indian culture, was asked what she thought of the Delhi Premier League.

And after that, Hayden says she will be travelling to the ‘Melbourne Cup of the outback’ the iconic Birdsville Races – held on the first Friday and Saturday of September.
