Indie band Courteeners have announced they are returning home to Manchester next summer for an outdoor show in front of thousands of fans in the south of the city.
The group, formed in Middleton, are set to perform at a one-off show at Wythenshawe Park on Saturday 29 August 2026.
Also playing before their headline set are Wirral rockers The Coral, indie band the Vaccines, Bristol dance-punk due Getdown Services and Girl In The Year Above,
Ticket for the Live from Wythenshawe Park festival are due to go on sale on 24 October.
The announcement comes fresh after the park hosted thousands of music lovers for sold out shows by The Cure and Lewis Capaldi this summer.
Courteeners, led by frontman and songwriter Liam Fray, released their debut album St. Jude in 2008, and have built a huge following since, playing sold out shows across Britain.
The band’s most recent album was 2024’s Pink Cactus Café.
Irish band Girl In The Year Above are also on the billing, while the Vaccines are expected to play their debut album, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? in full on what will be 15 years since its initial release date.
Organisers said £1 from each ticket sold will be given to the Music Venue Trust, a charity which fights to improve and protect grassroots music venues in the UK.
