Funding for local small-scale community festivals or events.

This programme closes at midday on Friday 20 March 2026.

Who it is for

Groups/projects must

  • be a community or voluntary organisation (not for personal profit)
  • have 90% of beneficiaries in council area

Support you can get

The Community Events Fund is for local small-scale community festivals or events.

Event funding covers

Eligible costs include venue hire, equipment, printing costs, materials, insurance, programme facilitator, toilets, and road closure costs.

  • £750 for 1day
  • £1,000 for 2 days
  • £1,200 for 3 or more days

Christmas tree switch on funding covers

Eligible costs include living Christmas trees, sweets, and selection boxes.

  • Population under 1,000 £500
  • Population 1,000 – 4,000 £750
  • Population over 4,000 £1,000
