Cole Palmer has been enjoying his time off over the international break, with the England and Chelsea star pictured making a surprise appearance at a McDonald’s drive through over the weekend.
Palmer was one of 10 players to drop out of Lee Carsley’s England squad to face both Greece and Republic of Ireland, the red-hot forward having taken a knock to his knee against Man United.
Palmer was joined by Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Ezri Konsa, Aaron Ramsdale, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice, Jarrad Branthwaite and Levi Colwill in missing the two games after initially being called up.
Palmer though chose to spend his time off back up in Manchester where he hails from, having come through the academy at Manchester City.
And one McDonald’s received what must have been a shock to see Palmer roll up to the window at the drive through.
Two employees then took the opportunity to pose with the Premier League star, pulling out his iconic ‘cold’ celebration.

It’s been a busy few days for Palmer, who was also spotted seemingly doing his best to remain anonymous at Stockport’s clash with Wrexham at the weekend.
He was seen in the crowd wrapped up against the cold weather, hidden behind a ski mask as the League Two champions closed within one point of Wrexham, who were acquired by movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2020.
Palmer’s form this season has been just as exceptional as his debut campaign in the capital, with seven goals and five assists so far this term.
Yet England did not miss him thankfully over the weekend, beating both Greece and Republic of Ireland to secure promotion back to the top groups of the Nations League.
Ollie Watkins and Curtis Jones scored wither side of an Odysseas Vlachodimos own goal in Athens on Thursday, before a five-star performance against Ireland on Sunday.
With the sides tied at 0-0 by the break, Harry Kane opened the floodgates from the spot against an Irish side down to 10.
Anthony Gordon and Conor Gallagher added two more to make it three in five minutes, before Jarrod Bowen and Taylor Harwood-Bellis added another couple as England romped to a 5-0 win.
