Chelsea star Cole Palmer delighted fans after delivering a blunt interview following the Blues triumph in the Conference League final.
Palmer had produced a man of the match display in the final, providing two assists as Chelsea came from behind to beat Real Betis 4-1 in Wroclow.
Chelsea had trailed 1-0 at the break but Palmer set up goals for Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson in a five minute spell in the second half to turn the match around.
After the final whistle, Palmer joined Chelsea captain Reece James in a post-match interview with TNT Sports.
While James offered insight into the Blues turnaround, his role and feelings about starting the final on the bench, Palmer offered blunt responses to questions.
When asked how he found space to provide the assists in the second half, Palmer responded ‘Erm… I don’t know. I was trying to find space as the game got going. And yeah.’

Palmer was then asked about how it felt that Chelsea had become the only club to win all three European trophies – the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
‘To be the only team in history is a great feeling,’ Palmer replied. ‘So yeah.’
The Chelsea and England star then declined to answer whether securing Champions League qualification and winning the Conference League title was a successful season for the club.
‘Ask the captain,’ Palmer said with a nod to James.
Palmer would offer slightly more insight into his performance in a post-match press conference when asked about his two assists.
‘I was sick of getting the ball and going backwards and sideways, I thought when I next get the ball I’m going to go,’ Palmer said.
Palmer’s blunt post-match interviews delighted numerous Chelsea fans on social media, who again highlighted his lack of responses to questions.
‘Pundits and journalists should just never interview Cole Palmer,’ one fan wrote. ‘Guy has no interest in speaking to them and it’s glorious.

‘Palmer’s interviews are always hilarious,’ a third wrote.
‘They ask him a question with a thousand words and he responds with the fewest words possible.
‘There must be some ring of hell that is being a live TV presenter and having to interview Cole Palmer,’ another added.
‘He just gives them nothing. I adore him.’
Palmer, however, was deemed by one fan to have given the ‘worst post-final winning interview in sporting history.’
