Norwich City, Watford and Portsmouth are among multiple clubs eyeing up a move for Plymouth Argyle goalscoring sensation Bim Pepple.

The Canada World Cup hopeful has scored more goals than any other striker in the top four divisions since the turn of the year – with 14 in 2026, and 16 in his last 23 games. That has made him a target for rival clubs home and abroad, including Europe and the MLS.

Argyle narrowly missed out on the promotion play-offs, finishing eighth in League One despite beating Northampton 3-2 on the final day.

But manager Tom Cleverley has confirmed that Pepple has a release clause leaving them vulnerable to offers.

Canada coach Jesse Marsch has already called up Pepple once but there is acknowledgement he needs to be playing at a higher level to further his international career.

League One champions Lincoln City are also confirmed admirers but there is plenty of competition. Indeed, Daily Mail Sport understands some suitors are so determined to sign Pepple that they are willing to treble his current salary.

Pepple joined Plymouth last summer from Luton Town for a fee understood to be £250,000 rising to £600,000.

He has worked hard to improve, changing diet and employing a one-to-one mental performance coach.

He has formed a formidable partnership with Lorent Tolaj, who scored 22 goals over the season, and the pair’s strike rate has been an obvious attraction for scouts from the likes of Celtic and Rangers too.

Manager Cleverley said: ‘They love playing for this club. It’s rightly so they should be recognised for what they are doing, and at this level your players will always be linked with clubs in higher leagues or different European leagues.

‘They have both got good mentalities to have tunnel vision. They know their job.’
