Star Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is unlikely to play another game in the NFL, it has emerged.
The shocking news, revealed on Saturday, comes 16 months after the 26-year-old suffered a serious neck injury against the Baltimore Ravens.
Back in October 2024, Owusu-Koramoah was involved in a sickening collision with Ravens running back Derrick Henry.
He immediately appeared dazed as he fell on his front, before being carted off the field and taken to the hospital.
That ended his 2024 season and the linebacker later revealed he would also sit out the entire 2025 campaign. Now Cleveland.com reports that the 2023 Pro Bowler’s career could be over.
The former Notre Dame standout was selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. He went on to appear in 50 games for the Cleveland Browns, including once in the postseason.

Owusu-Koramoah is under contract through 2027, having signed a three-year, $37.5million extension back in August 2024. According to reports, more than $11m of his salary is guaranteed for the 2026 season.
The 26-year-old has not publicly commented on the latest reports but he hinted that his future was uncertain when he revealed he would miss the 2025 season.
‘I’ve given my heart to this game. I don’t know what’s next, but I’ll continue trusting my medical team, serving the community, and backing my brothers on the field,’ he said last May.
