Chuck Norris’ family is slamming the spread of “completely untrue” information about the late actor’s death.

The Norris family issued a statement on Chuck’s official Instagram account on Wednesday, slamming the online misinformation about how the martial artist passed away.

“We are aware that since Chuck’s passing, there have been a number of AI-generated videos and posts circulating online that contain false and misleading information regarding the circumstances of his passing, his health history, and who was present,” the statement began.

The Norrises said the “completely untrue” claims about Chuck include “fabricated reports of past medical issues” and “false narratives” about his “family relationships.”

They also asked fans to “not believe or share any information” about Chuck “unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official family representative.”

“Thank you for understanding and for continuing to keep our family in your prayers,” the statement concluded.

On March 19, TMZ reported that Chuck had been rushed to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The details of the incident were unknown.

His family confirmed his death the next day. He was 86.

“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning,” the family statement read. “While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.”

The statement also remembered Chuck for being “a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.”

Chuck’s living family members include his wife, Gena O’Kelley, and his five children.

Chuck learned later in life that he had welcomed a fifth child, Dina, during an extramarital affair.

Two of Chuck’s kids, Dakota and Danilee, shared tributes to him on social media after his death. Chuck Norris/Instagram

Dakota and Danilee both shared tributes on social media to their dad after his death.

In his post, Dakota said Chuck was “the man I looked up to my whole life” and that he’s “so proud to be your son.”

“The memories we made, the lessons you taught me, and the constant laughs we shared will stay with me for the rest of my life,” he wrote.

Danilee, meanwhile, called Chuck her “protector,” and admitted that “losing a parent is something that you are never prepared for.”

“My dad loved so deeply and cared for every single person in his life with so much tenderness,” she continued. “To say how thankful I am for him being my dad is an understatement.”
