Follow Mail Sport’s live blog for the latest news and updates as Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn hold their final press conference ahead of middleweight bout this weekend.
Still waiting for the fighters
We’re still waiting for this to get underway. The room is full of press but people are still coming in.
There are also plenty of security already on the stage. They will have their work cutout tonight.
The music is really loud, too.
Jones: ‘Neither have looked great recently’
I think size is a factor but also experience. Eubank Jnr has boxed at a higher level. How long has he got left? They have both looked relatively inactive and neither have looked great in their most recent performances.
Chris knows how to manage a fight better. He has been in with bigger guys. The output he had of smothering with work rate went out of his game, but if he does that against Benn then Conor might walk onto a punch.
Eddie Hearn was of course involved in the incident on Tuesday, on-stage as Benn’s promoter.
He was also there trying to pull the two men apart, and was, like Benn, left fuming after.
He had a two-word response to the incident and didn’t mince his words.

Bellew: ‘I did think it was a step too far’
It was exhasperating. It was choas. I came away thinking, what have I just witnessed? I didn’t see it coming. I did think it was a step too far.
Why did he go towards the eye? Eggshell in the eye, you have scratched it, it’s horrible.
New reports coming out this afernoon suggest that Benn’s former doctor Usman Sajjad is reportedly the subject of a six-month long investigation by the General Medical Council just one month after he was blacklisted by the British Boxing Board of Control.
Mail Sport revealed exclusively in January that the organisation had informed fighters that they would not be accepting any medical documentation from Dr Sajjad, who was investigated by the board at the height of Benn’s positive test saga in 2022.
It’s a moving story. Click here or below for the latest.
Press conference set to get underway
We have hit 6pm and the press conference should be getting underway any minute.
There’s so much anticipation for this one. Who knows what they will say or what stunts they will pull out.
We’ll bring you all the best quotes and moments from north London.
What the odds say
If this fight happened two years ago, Benn would have been an overwhelming favourtie.
Despite being undefeated, he is not the favourite with our friends at SkyBet right now.
Eubank Jr is, with him priced at 8/11 to come out victorious. Benn, meanwhile, finds himself at 5/4.
You can also currently get Benn to win by KO or TKO price boosted from 2/1 to 9/4.
When is the fight?
It will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the demand has been mega.
Eddie Hearn, who promotes Benn, has revealed there have been 130,000 Spurs members alone in the queue for pre-sale tickets.
The undercard will include Anthony Yarde, Liam Smith and Viddal Riley.
What will the fighters have up their sleeves?
You best beleive security will be doing all they can to prevent a re-run of Tuesday happening tonight.
But selling the fight – and pure hatred, apparently – suggests the fighters could be planning something.
Will there even be a face-off? Will stuff be thrown? What will be said?
We will have to wait and see.
The battle of the fathers
This rivalry, really, started in the 90s when Chris Eubank Snr and Nigel Benn did battle themselves.
While Nigel is in his son’s corner, Chris isn’t these days, with he and his son no longer really seeing eye to eye.
Nigel, meanwhile, hasn’t been too chuffed with his son’s rival lately. Fans spotted him grabbing Eubank Jr by the throat as it all kicked off on Tuesday. See below for the graphic – left of the picture, black cap.
Before that, Benn had suggested that Eubank Snr would only be in his son’s corner is he was paid. It’s all very frosty.
The reason behind the egg
It looked at the time that Eubank Jr had simply slapped Benn, sparking a mass brawl and both men having to be held back.
This was the reason he gave for why it was in fact an egg that he hit him with.
Benn was, of course, originally provisionally suspended in March 2023 for the alleged use of a prohibited substance. It was lifted twice, lasting in November last year.
Benn claimed he ate too many eggs, causing the issue.
My colleague James Cohen has written this fantastic piece detailing all the issues between the two men in a rivalry that has lasted absolute years.
Finally, this April, they will step inside the ring to settle their differences and we cannot wait.
From their fathers facing off to egg slapping, the whole history is here. A really good read if you want to be brought up to speed.

A ‘cracking’ night ahead
Hello one and all and welcome to Mail Sport’s live coverage of this press conference ahead of Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn.
This one actually will go ahead after an event on Wednesday was cancelled after an incident involving an egg – you have probably heard by now.
Long story short, the two bitter rivals faced off and Eubank Jr smashed an egg against Benn’s head, sparking a melee.
