Marc Cucurella has revealed that he watches the same film twice every day.
The Chelsea defender, 26, confessed his love for the Walt Disney Pictures movie while taking part in a game of ’20 questions’ with TNT Sport this week.
Cucurella has played a key role for Chelsea this campaign under Enzo Maresca, featuring in 24 of the Blues’ 26 Premier League games at left-back so far.
TNT Sport shared a video of the Spaniard answering a series of quickfire questions to social media on Monday morning, just days after his Chelsea side were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa in the Premier League.
When asked to reveal his favourite film, Cucurella replied: ‘The Lion King. I watches The Lion King maybe twice each day so I want to choose this one.’
The 1994 Disney classic, which is animated and has a run-time of 88 minutes, is loosely based on William Shakespeare’s Hamlet and follows the story of a lion called Simba who is forced to leave his home after his father is murdered by his uncle.

Years later, Simba returns as an adult in an effort to reclaim the throne and avenge his father’s death.
Cucurella has enjoyed his very own redemption story with Chelsea having initially struggled at the club following his £62million move from Brighton in 2022.
After his arrival, Chelsea endured successive seasons of disappointment, finishing 12th in 2022-23 and then sixth place in 2023-24, during which time Cucurella lost his place in the side.
Although the Blues are back in a poor run of form so far this calendar year, winning just once over their last five games in all competitions, Cucurella has re-established himself as Chelsea’ first-choice left-back with a series of strong and dependable performances.
Cucurella also played a crucial role for Spain in the 2024 European Championships, starting at left-back throughout the tournament to help guide his country to victory over England in the final.
The Spaniard, who came through the ranks at Barcelona before shining for Getafe and then Brighton, has three children with his partner Claudia Rodriguez: Mateo, Rio and Claudia.
