Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell has emerged as a target for the Blues’ sister club Strasbourg before the transfer deadline.

Chilwell, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace, appears to have no future at Stamford Bridge.

As reported by The Telegraph, the 28-year-old is now being tracked by Strasbourg, who are also owned by Todd Boehly’s Blue Co.

There has also been interest in Chilwell from Italian clubs Torino and Roma.

Strasbourg currently have three Chelsea players on loan in Kendry Paez, Mamadou Sarr and Mike Penders.

Chilwell signed for Chelsea in 2020 and has made 107 appearances for the club.

A loan move appears to be the most likely option for Chilwell, although a permanent switch cannot be ruled out.

He was part of the Chelsea squad that won the Champions League in the 2020-21 season but has fallen down the pecking order.

While on loan at Palace last season Chilwell featured 11 times and won the FA Cup.

Chilwell started his career at Leicester and has 21 England caps, although he hasn’t featured for his country since March 2024.

The left-back has just under two years remaining on his contract at Chelsea.

His most recent competitive appearance for Chelsea came against Barrow in the Carabao Cup in September 2024.
