How does the draw work?
Right, let’s get this over and done with.
As you all know, things are a little different when it comes to Champions League draws these days, so I think we need to go through how it’s all going to work.
I mean, the draw is already half done, in some ways. Each team is already in one side of the bracket and can only be drawn against two potential opponents.
One of the seeded teams – a club that finished in the top eight of the league phase – will be drawn against a play-off winner. So, for example, we won’t be seeing the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal facing off.
The seeded teams will be given the advantage of a home second leg, while the teams that finished in the top four will get the same advantage in the quarter-final stage.
