Andre Onana and Casemiro were involved in a heated clash during Manchester United’s loss in the Europa League final to Tottenham in Bilbao on Wednesday night.
Following the match, which finished 1-0 to Spurs, footage of the incident was posted to social media in a clip that has since over 1.3million views on X, formerly Twitter.
Goalkeeper Onana and midfielder Casemiro appeared to exchange some choice words after defender Luke Shaw had cleared the ball out for a corner during the opening stages of the match.
As they took up their respective positions to defend the ensuing set-piece, they can be seen gesturing angrily towards one another.
The two Premier League sides were fighting it out to see who would qualify for Champions League football next season
A Europa League victory was the only possible route of qualification for both teams given they will finish outside of the European places come the end of the campaign.

United missed out on the chance to secure European football next season with the loss

Onana also came in for criticism for the part he played in Brennan Johnson’s goal for Spurs
It means the Red Devils will have to make do without any European football next season after coming out on the losing side after Brennan Johnson scored the encounter’s only goal shortly before half-time.
After the match, Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim revealed that he would be prepared to leave without a penny in compensation if owners and fans no longer believe he can turn the club around.
‘I have nothing to show to the fans, so in this moment it is a little bit of faith (that is required),’ he said.
‘Let’s see (on the future). Like I said before, I am always open.
‘If the board and fans feel that I am not the right guy, I will go in the next day without any conversation about compensation, but I will not quit.
‘I am really confident on my job and as you see I will not change nothing in the way I do things.’
Amorim was unimpressed at the suggestion that he got his selection wrong by selecting Mason Mount ahead of Alejandro Garnacho in the left No 10 role.
