Funding of up to £4 million for UK registered businesses to trial Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) services for future deployment at scale.

The competition opened on Monday 20 October 2025 and closes at 11am on Wednesday 17 December 2025.

Who it is for

This competition is open to collaborations only.

To lead a collaborative project your organisation must be one of the following

  • a UK registered business of any size
  • a local authority
  • a transport authority

Your project must

  • have a grant funding request of between £2 million and £4 million
  • last between 18 and 24 months
  • start by 1 June 2026

Support you can get

This competition aims to support the UK Government’s ambition to advance CAM services in high value areas into commercial offerings. This will be achieved by funding trials led by service operators or entities who benefit directly from the end use of CAM in live or analogous settings.

  • up to 70% if you are a micro or small organisation
  • up to 60% if you are a medium sized organisation
  • up to 50% if you are a large organisation

For experimental development projects which are nearer to market, eligible project costs can be funded as follows

  • up to 35% if you are a medium sized organisation
  • up to 25% if you are a large organisation
