Angel Reese exploded at a pair of Connecticut Sun players on Sunday night after having her hair pulled while battling for a rebound.
Reese, who is leading the league with 11.9 boards per contest, went up to grab a rebound for her Chicago Sky with her team trailing by one in the third quarter.
But the former LSU star was incensed when Connecticut’s Bria Hartley pulled her hair on the play, as she immediately got in the face of the guard and starting yelling at her.
Hartley appeared to apologize to Reese and suggest the hair pull was accidental, but the Sky player was further angered when Hartley’s teammate, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, stepped in to separate the pair.
Nelson-Ododa put an arm on Reese’s midsection, with the latter then using both hands to shove her away as tensions continued spilling over.
The Sun’s Tina Charles, who had also stepped in initially to defend Hartley, also shoved Reese’s teammate Kia Nurse.

Refs ultimately broke the fracas up, though Reese could be seen saying the words: ‘She pulled my hair.’
Ultimately, Reese got the last laugh as her Sky won 78-66 for their third win of the season.
And the ‘Bayou Barbie’ had a strong individual game herself as well, posting her first-career triple double to the tune of 11 points, 11 assists and 13 rebounds.
While much has been made of her lack of efficiency on the court – her field goal percentage has dipped to just 35.7 percent – Reese recently took home an award as she was named ‘Sportswoman of the Year’ award at the 2025 BET Awards last week.
Other nominees for the award included Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, newly-minted French Open winner Coco Gauff and more.

Reese also beat out other nominees from the basketball world including A’ja Wilson, Flau’je Johnson, Dawn Staley, and Juju Watkins, while Sha’Carri Richardson and Claressa Shields were also up for the award.
It’s the third consecutive year that Reese has won the award, with Serena Williams (16 times) and Naomi Osaka (twice) the only other multi-time winners.
The Sky will look to build on the momentum of Sunday’s win as they sit second-bottom in the Eastern Conference with a 3-7 record.
They’ll face the Mystics next on Tuesday.
