Caitlin Clark’s stalker was handed a lenient sentence on Monday after pleading guilty to stalking and harassment.

Michael Lewis, 55, was charged with stalking back in January after sending a slew of sexually explicit messages towards the WNBA star beginning late last tear.

Lewis has now been sentenced in Indianapolis to two-and-a-half years in prison, though he will only serve about 18 more months after being given credit for time already served.

He has also been required to stay away from Fever or Pacers games, while the judge recommended that he receive mental health treatment.

Lewis, who previously told cops he was in an ‘imaginary relationship’ with the women’s basketball sensation, will also be prohibited from having internet access during his sentence, 13 WTHR reported from the courtroom.

While staying in a hotel in Indianapolis, Lewis bombarded Clark with messages on X, writing on December 27 that he had ‘sensual’ feelings for Clark and saying on December 31 that he was going to ‘touch himself’ to her.

Lewis’ behavior grew increasingly troublesome, as he referred to himself as her ‘slave’ in January and also shared a chilling message regarding Clark.

‘this is 911 what is your emergency? . . caitlin fell in the snow and we cant find her anywhere. Its like she disappeared. . . . Brass monkey, that funky monkey, brass monkey junkee, that funky monkey’,’ he wrote.

Police ultimately made contact with Lewis on January 8, reportedly after FBI staffers tracked down his messages to his hotel and another IP address in the city.

Prosecutors said that Clark approved of Lewis’ plea agreement, WishTV.com wrote,  while court documents also showed that she was interviewed by police regarding the matter.

The Fever star was described as being ‘very fearful’ and claimed to have changed her pattern of movement in public as a result.

Nonetheless, Lewis claimed in court on Monday that he wants Clark ‘o be safe.’

‘I’ve never threatened her, I’ve never thought about threatening her,’ he said before he was sentenced.
