Caitlin Clark made an impressive debut on NBC’s coverage of the NBA on Sunday night as she officially traded the court for the camera.

The WNBA star was on hand at Madison Square Garden to deliver pre-game analysis of the game between the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

It was revealed on Tuesday that the Indiana Fever superstar had been tapped by NBC to serve as a special contributor for its NBA coverage this season.

And she left fans instantly wanting more after her first 10 to 15 minute cameo alongside host Joy Taylor and NBA legends Carmelo Anthony and Reggie Miller.

One commented: ‘Caitlin Clark is definitely made for TV as a color analyst! Definitely her future’.

Another posted: ‘Caitlin Clark is fantastic on TV. She got a future here when she’s done playing ball.’

Another said: ‘Caitlin Clark is a natural on television, really good!’

‘Caitlin Clark should probably do this TV thing during the offseason,’ another added.

One NBC viewer joked that Clark ‘has already made more live appearances for NBC than Michael Jordan’, referencing the NBA icon’s appearances on a pre-recorded interview with Mike Tirico that have annoyed viewers.

Clark discussed a number of topics, including the WNBA’s ongoing collective bargaining agreement negotiations and her first impressions of Madison Square Garden. She also named Luka Doncic as he favorite NBA player.

The 24-year-old has never played at Madison Square Garden but did declare she hoped the WNBA’s New York Liberty would consider switching one of their games form Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to the iconic arena in Manhattan.

In a pre-recorded piece, Clark also played and beat NBA icon Jamal Crawford in a shooting challenge.

In addition to her debut at MSG, Clark is also scheduled to appear on the program on March 29, when the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Knicks.

The move to television comes after a difficult second year in the WNBA for the former No. 1 overall pick.

After a historic rookie campaign where she averaged 19.2 points per game and earned Rookie of the Year honors, Clark’s 2025 season was derailed by health issues.

She grappled with left quad and left groin injuries early in the year before sustaining a right groin injury in July.

Her season was ultimately cut short in September after she suffered a bone bruise to her left ankle during a workout.

Clark was limited to just 13 games in 2025, averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists before being shut down.

Despite losing their star guard, the Fever managed to reach the semifinals of the playoffs, eventually falling to the champion Las Vegas Aces in five games.

Clark is now preparing for her third WNBA season, which is scheduled to tip off on May 9 against Dallas.
