Scottie Pippen’s son, Justin, has entered the transfer portal, leaving Michigan while the team is still alive in the men’s NCAA Tournament.

Justin, a freshman, appeared in 28 games this season and averaged 6.7 minutes per game, but has not seen the court since March 9.

And though his team advanced to the Sweet 16 this weekend, he will not travel with them to Atlanta, 247Sports’ Travis Branham reported.

The former four-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon in California has already left the team.

While Michigan’s season is still going on, the transfer portal opened on Monday and only remains open for the next 30 days.

Michigan will face Auburn on Friday night in the Sweet 16.

Other notable names to have entered the transfer portal are Mackenzie Mgbako,  Isaac McKneely and Tucker DeVries, formerly of Indiana, Virginia and West Virginia respectively.

Justin averaged 1.6 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game for the Wolverines.

He also received offers from the likes of California, Stanford and Texas A&M out of college, according to 247 Sports.

Scottie Pippen Jr., another son of the former Bulls star, also plays in the NBA and has established himself as a rotation piece for the Grizzlies.

The Vanderbilt product is averaging 9.4 points and 4.3 assists in 20.7 minutes a night for Memphis.

It’s his third season in the NBA and second with the Grizzlies after starting his career off with the Lakers.
