Cleveland Browns superstar and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett has once again been cited for speeding — this time, for allegedly driving 94mph in a 70mph zone.

The citation, which has been reported by multiple outlets, occurred just hours after Garrett attended a Bowling Green-Miami University basketball game in Oxford, Ohio on February 21.

Just days earlier, Garrett was in Livigno, Italy cheering on girlfriend Chloe Kim as she won an Olympic silver medal in the snowboard halfpipe at the Milan Cortina Winter Games.

The deputy who wrote the ticket noted that Garrett was ‘kind and cooperative’ after being pulled over on I-71 north in Congress Township, according to WKYC.com. He is now summoned to appear in Wayne County Municipal Court on March 10, although he can avoid that by paying a traffic ticket in excess of $100.

Garrett has had no fewer than nine speeding citations since 2017, including a 2022 incident when he flipped his Porsche. He and a female passenger were hurt in that crash, which allegedly occurred as he swerved to avoid an animal in the road while speeding.

Hours before being ticketed for driving 24mph over the speed limit, Cleveland Brown star Myles Garrett was pictured at the Bowling Green-Miami basketball game in Oxford, Ohio

He was given a citation for failing to control his vehicle due to unsafe speeds.

In August, Garrett was pulled over on I-71 for going 100mph in a 60mph zone.

And Garrett isn’t the only Browns player who has struggled to maintain a safe speed. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the son of Hall of Famer Deion, was clocked driving at 101mph, 41 miles over the posted speed limit.

Garrett was recently named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year for a second time, despite the Browns’ struggles in 2025.

Since then, he has been spotted attending the Winter Games in Italy, where he celebrated Kim’s success on the slopes. Later he popped up at the Bowling Green-Miami basketball game to see the last undefeated team in the country, the Redhawks.

The 30-year-old Texas A&M product is signed through the 2030 season after agreeing to a four-year, $160 million extension before last season. He had previously sought a trade before he and the Browns were able to negotiate a long-term deal.
