Ten years after the Brexit referendum, one of the campaign’s most memorable slogans remains under scrutiny: “We send the EU £350 million a week, let’s fund our NHS instead.”

According to Mark Dayan, Brexit Programme Lead at the Nuffield Trust, “It was a very exaggerated way of counting contributions to the EU that didn’t count some of the money that we got back.”
