Former World Series winner Rafael Furcal was arrested in Miami this week for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Furcal reportedly turned himself into police custody on Wednesday and will face two felony charges.

Furcal, 47, played for four teams and is best known for his longer stints with the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The incident which landed Furcal in jail occurred on Monday, while exact details of what occurred were not immediately available, per Local 10.

Furcal last played in Major League Baseball in 2014 in his one season with the Miami Marlins.

Furcal played for 14 seasons in total in the big leagues, winning his World Series in 2011 as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Furcal has been arrested twice before, both during his Braves career. One incident occurred his rookie year in 2000 and the other was in 2004.

The shortstop was listed on the Baseball Hall of Fame’s induction ballot in 2020 and received zero votes, taking the possibility away from him in the future.

Furcal resides in Weston, Florida, which is about 40 miles Northwest of downtown Miami.

Furcal is a three-time MLB All-Star, making the game in 2000 and 2003, then again in 2012 after a long period without selection.
