Eni Aluko and Peter Crouch will miss out on TNT Sports’ coverage of the European men’s football finals this month.

The pair shall be absent from the broadcaster’s Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League final coverage teams.

That’s despite them being regular voices with the broadcaster throughout the season.

Aluko has been a regular presence covering Chelsea’s run to the Europa Conference League final, having helped in games against Panathinaikos, Noah, Bournemouth, and Copenhagen.

However, she has not been employed for a match since March 27, when she assisted with coverage of Chelsea vs Manchester City in the Women’s Champions League.

In April she had a public fall-out with Ian Wright after she accused him of ‘blocking’ routes for female pundits and he subsequently refusd her apology.

And neither will Peter Crouch

Crouch, who was a pundit for last year’s Champions League final, has been part of 16 European broadcasts this season but none since January, according to a respected commentary database.

However, he has continued working with TNT Sports on their Premier League coverage and helped with Newcastle’s 2-0 win over Chelsea at the weekend.

It will be a busy period for commentary duo Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist, who have been given both the Champions League and the Europa League finals.

Meanwhile, Adam Summerton and Lucy Ward will take the Europa Conference league final between Chelsea and Real Betis on May 28.

Despite his recent health scare, Rio Ferdinand is set to be the busiest pundit of the lot as he will be offering his views on the Champions League and Europa League finals.

He’ll be joined by Karen Carney and Owen Hargreaves for the showpiece occasion between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan on May 31.

Meanwhile, the Manchester United legend will sit alongside Gareth Bale, Glenn Hoddle, Robbie Savage, Paul Scholes for the Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham May 21.

Meanwhile, Michail Antonio, Joe Cole, and Steve Sidwell will be the experts for the Europa Conference League final.

It is not yet clear why Aluko and Crouch have been excluded from the party.

Aluko’s views on Wright were made during an appearance on Radio Four’s Women’s Hour on Wednesday, in which she also claimed her punditry career had been damaged by ex-Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton, who she’s suing for libel, after he dubbed her a ‘race card player’ on social media in January last year.

She had also said that ITV continuing to employ Wright to cover the women’s game hampered the chances of female pundits coming into the industry.

She issued an apology to Wright, but he rejected it, and ITV came out with a statement of support to him, as did a swathe of other individuals.

Mail Sport has contacted TNT Sports for comment.
