Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce left fans stunned in New Orleans after they were spotted on a dinner date at a French restaurant in the city, less than 48 hours before the Super Bowl.
Typically, players have stayed in their hotels this close to the deciding game of the NFL season but Kelce decided to head out with his girlfriend ahead of the biggest game of his career.
They were seen holding hands at Lilette, a French restaurant in the trendy Magazine Street. Word had clearly got out that they were there – with plenty of fans waiting by the steps to film the leaving.
Kelce and his Chiefs team face the Philadelphia Eagles in pursuit of a potentially historic Super Bowl ‘three-peat’ this weekend.
While there is no suggestion Kelce has broken any rules by heading out with Swift, his appearance was still a surprise given that it is so close to the game.
Some fans on social media even spotted the footage of them arriving at the restaurant and said it was fake.
The Chiefs team hotel is around a 20-minute drive from the restaurant,
Last year, before the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, he underlined how important it was for him to stay focused and lay low in his hotel in the days leading up to the big game.
‘We’ve got one week, we do what we need to do then we can party in Vegas for the rest of our lives,’ Kelce said.
