Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards lost his cool during Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The guard was ejected in the third quarter of the matchup against LeBron James, Luka Doncic and co. via a double technical foul with the Lakers dominating 74-59 at the time.
However, Edwards shockingly escalated the situation when, instead of peacefully exiting the court, he lingered before launching the ball into the crowd.
The fans in the Crypto.com Arena crowd appeared to successfully dodge Edwards’ missive but he could now be facing an increased fine from the league.
Edwards’ two technical fouls that led to his ejection gave him 16 for the entire year, triggering an automatic one-game suspension for Edwards.
Now, his conduct after being ejected against Los Angeles may have his ban be longer than Friday night’s road game against the Utah Jazz.

It’s been less than a week since Edwards last caused controversy in the NBA as he appeared to get into a heated argument with a Houston Rockets’ fan last Friday.
Edwards has already been fined $285K by the league this season for five different incidents, although he has not added to that total since mid-January.
