The New York Giants are vying for the services of free-agent wide receiver Gabe Davis, as he is reportedly scheduled to visit the team this week.
Davis was brutally cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars last week with a failed physical designation last week, still owing the wideout over $11million this season in guaranteed money.
Davis possibly being a target of Russell Wilson or Jaxson Dart in New York comes after a visit to the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week, who are looking for a new No 2 wide receiver after dealing Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders earlier this offseason.
The 26-year-old wide receiver only spent one season with the Jaguars where he has 20 receptions for 239 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in 10 games. Davis then had a season-ending meniscus injury.
Before moving to Florida, Davis entered the NFL with the Buffalo Bills, where he had 2,730 yards and 27 touchdowns in four years with the team.
Davis may be best remembered for his four-touchdown performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2021 Divisional round.

Brian Daboll’s team will entertain the former Jaguar after he visited the 49ers earlier this week
Should Davis join the Giants, he could be the team’s No 1 receiver. Malik Nabers, as a rookie, slotted into the role with limited competition.
Davis would provide veteran stability in an outside weapon the team has not had during Daboll’s tenure.
Daboll was also the offensive coordinator for the Bills for Davis’ first two seasons with the Bills.
The Giants are keen to bulk up on offense to stay in line with the rest of their division rivals.
The Philadelphia Eagles are the defending Super Bowl champions, while the Commanders reached the NFC Championship game last year and are expected to be a playoff team again in 2025.
The Cowboys had a disappointing 2024 but acquired wide receiver George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers last week in hopes of turning things around.
