Jordon Hudson’s control over Bill Belichick could be starting to drop after he appeared without her at a New York book event this week – instead opting for a PR guru to help him navigate his first big appearance since his CBS nightmare.
Belichick and Hudson – 49-years-younger than the NFL great at 24 – saw their romance ruthlessly propeled back into the spotlight last week when footage emerged of her interrupting his CBS interview when he was asked how they met.
The cringeworthy scene sparked an outpouring of dismay around the relationship, with friends publicly vowing to intervene on Belichick’s behalf to former players he coached questioning his sanity.
Belichick, Daily Mail exclusively reported, was not massively concerned by the backlash but it has now emerged that he is resuming his book tour with subtle signs that he might think he is better without Hudson.
For one, the 73-year-old arrived at his event at NYU in a suit, not the bizarre sweater with holes in that he wore to speak to CBS.
Secondly, Page Six claims that Belichick was joined by Brandon Faber, the former vice-president of communications at the Chicago Bears instead of Hudson.

There was, in fact, no obvious sign that Hudson was in attendance at all. If she was, she kept a low profile and let Belichick take center stage and do the talking about a career in football like no other.
‘Cooler heads may be starting to prevail,’ Page Six quoted a source as saying. ‘Her influence may be waning.’
Footage of Belichick’s appearance first surfaced through sports radio host Zach Gelb, who said on X that his cousin was in attendance for the Belichick visit.
‘Bill is taking questions, but you have to submit them, so I don’t think anything too crazy will happen at this event,’ Gelb added, in another sign of a smarter PR move by Belichick.
‘I asked my cousin if there’s any sign of Jordan Hudson being there and he said not yet.’
A clip of Belichick discussing the NFL and players finding motivation from within also emerged, with the coach sounding far more comfortable discussing the game he knows so well.
After leaving the New England Patriots in January 2024, Belichick is now gearing up for a return to football at college level, with the University of North Carolina.
Hudson’s influence had made things wobble in Chapel Hill, too. It emerged that her desire to be involved in the iconic ‘Hard Knocks’ series curtailed the cameras’ involvement in Belichick’s work at the school.

Belichick hit out at CBS as the backlash at Hudson intensified as a result of their interview. He accused CBS of using ‘selectively edited clips’ that have made Hudson subject of ongoing ridicule.
‘I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book,’ Belichick said.
‘After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help focus the discussion.’
CBS dispiuted those claims, saying: ‘When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview.
‘There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation.
‘This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.’
Hudson and Belichick have been seen together since the interview – they were spotted dining at a luxury Manhattan hotel but didn’t answer when paparazzi asked them about the interview.
