A field hockey match in Philadelphia erupted in gunfire, sending players, coaches and officials scrambling for cover.
Footage of the hectic scene shows players from both St. Louis University and La Salle abandoning their equipment and rushing indoors. One official is seen slipping or ducking behind the goal before getting up and running into an open garage.
An update was promptly posted on St. Louis University Field Hockey’s X account explaining that nobody was harmed.
‘Today’s match at La Salle has been called due to a shooting in the vicinity of the field,’ the post read. ‘Everyone is safe.’
The match was apparently tied 0-0 when the shooting took place. A school spokesman declined to offer any additional information when contacted by DailyMail.com.
