ESPN has announced it is developing a new behind-the-scenes documentary series focusing on the Kansas City Chiefs.
The network revealed the series will be produced by ‘much of the team’ behind the smash-hit Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls Netflix show ‘The Last Dance’.
The documentary crew was given extensive access to Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and their teammates during the 2024 NFL season.
Andy Reid’s team went into last season trying to make NFL history with a third successive Super Bowl win.
However, the year ended in heartbreak after a crushing 40-22 Super Bowl defeat by the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
The six-episode docuseries is expected to premiere later this year on both ESPN and Disney+.
An ESPN release said: ‘The multi-part docuseries documents the franchise’s storied history and remarkable modern-day dynasty, all told through unprecedented access to the team’s 2024 season’.
