Caitlin Clark could not end her first WNBA season without achieving another record, even as her Indiana Fever had their season ended in the first round of the postseason by the Connecticut Sun.
In the season-ending loss to the Sun, Clark scored 25 points, adding nine assists and six rebounds. She’s the first rookie to have pulled off a 25-5-5 game in the postseason.
The WNBA Rookie of the Year being at the forefront of the Fever’s revival led her to achieving several more astonishing feats during the regular season as well.
Clark was the first rookie to record a triple-double, set the overall WNBA record for most assists in a season, and set the league record for most 3-pointers made my a rookie.
Clark was also the fastest player in the WNBA to reach the 500-point and 200-assist plateaus.
Clark’s season ended on Wednesday night, but not without setting another league record
Clark also led the WNBA rookies in points per game, field goals made, assists per game, and steals per game.
The former Iowa star also set the rookie scoring record with 769 points this season.
