The San Francisco 49ers will be without starting quarterback Brock Purdy and defensive lineman Nick Bosa due to injury for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
Purdy was limited in practice all week and was ruled out of the NFC matchup on Friday due to a shoulder injury. Brandon Allen will start in his place.
Bosa has hip and oblique ailments and has not practiced all week.
San Francisco enters Sunday’s matchup against the Packers with a 5-5 record, in a tie for last place in the NFC West.
Oddly, the 49ers are only one game out of first place in the division as well, making every contest during the final seven weeks of the NFL season crucial.
The Packers enter the game 7-3, and in third in the NFC East. Yet, Green Bay is in a playoff position.

The 49ers’ injury list is currently deeper than most around the league, with star cornerback Charvarius Ward and linebacker Tatum Bethune also missing Sunday’s game.
Green Bay is much closer to healthy, only missing Jaire Alexander and Edgerrin Cooper for the game at Lambeau Field.
Three of the Packers last four trips to the postseason have been ended by San Francisco.
Sunday’s game gives Green Bay a chance to torpedo the postseason hopes for the 49ers this year.
In promising news for the 49ers, both George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey were full participants in Friday’s practice.
