Bill Belichick awkwardly dodged a question during a live television interview about how his 49-years-younger girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has impacted his role as North Carolina’s head football coach.
Hudson has been in the headlines over the last few weeks, ever since she interjected during a Belichick interview with CBS. Since then, many questions have been raised as to what her influence is within Belichick’s life and beyond.
Now, Belichick has broken his silence over the issue publicly for the first time.
‘So I know that you’re aware that your relationship with Jordon Hudson has been a headline over the last few months, and all of the specifics aside, because a lot has come out in the last couple of days. How do you think that that impacts your ability to coach this football team, if at all?’ ESPN’s Christine Williamson asked Belichick.
‘Yeah. I mean, that’s, you know, really off to the side. It’s a personal relationship and she doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football,’ Belichick replied.
‘I’m excited to be back in the coaches meetings and getting ready for, you know, June and then August, when we get to training camp. So June will be a big recruiting month for us, and then August, we’ll start getting ready for the season.’
