A five-year-old boy has died after a wall collapsed on him and a girl at an adventure golf course in south-east London.

Emergency services were called to Sidcup Family Golf, Chislehurst, at 17:40 GMT on Sunday to reports a child had been injured by a collapsing wall.

The boy was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition along with the six-year-old girl, who was also injured. He subsequently died in hospital, while she has since been discharged.

A spokesperson for Sidcup Family Golf said: “We are deeply saddened to hear that the child injured on Sunday has tragically passed away. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the child’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.”

They added: “We are co-operating fully with the authorities as they continue their investigation and are providing every possible support to those affected by this tragedy.”

The Met Police said inquiries were ongoing and officers were working with the Local Health and Safety Inspector.
