A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after police spotted him riding a suspected stolen e-bike.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said three males wearing balaclavas were seen riding it in Stockport at about 14:00 BST on Tuesday.
The force said the boy, detained on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods and possession of a presumed Class B drug, had been bailed pending further inquiries.
Insp Joseph Barron said: “We are fully aware of the issues that e-bikes and off-road vehicles cause within communities, and we are always proactively targeting those who use them in an illegal or dangerous manner.”
A GMP spokesperson said two officers followed the e-bike before detaining one of its riders at a petrol station on Maple Road in the Offerton area of the town.
The e-bike is believed to have been taken a week earlier.
