Jarrell Miller has revealed the hair piece fell off his head during his win over Kingsley Ibeh was only used because he used his mum’s shampoo.
Miller finally lived out his Madison Square Garden dream on Saturday night, defeating Ibeh via split decision at boxing’s most iconic venue.
However, the defining moment of the fight came in the second round when Ibeh quite literally punched the wig off Miller’s head.
The two were locked in a close exchange near the end of the round when Ibeh landed a sharp right hand that dislodged Miller’s hairpiece. The crowd went crazy as it flapped loose, instantly stealing the spotlight.
Back in his corner, Miller was made aware of what had happened. When he rose for the third round, he turned to face the crowd, grabbed the hairpiece, ripped it off, and flung it into the stands – tongue out, laughing – before heading back into the fight
To make the whole thing funnier, the wig landed in front of heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley, before Skye Nicolson picked it up and posed with the hair piece.

Miller suffered an embarrassing moment during his fight on Saturday night during his win
Speaking after the fight, Miller said he had used his mother’s shampoo two days before the fight without realising it was hair removal cream.
‘I get to my mama’s house and she has some shampoo bottles on the table,’ he said. ‘I shampooed, it was like ammonium bleach. I literally lost my hair like two days ago.
‘So I called my manager (and said), “get me one of those manes”, and I slapped that on real quick… I’m a comedian, I make fun of myself.’
Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) was stepping into the ring for the first time since his gritty majority draw with Andy Ruiz Jr. in August 2024.
That outing followed the first defeat of his professional career, a 10th-round TKO loss to Daniel Dubois in December 2023. For Miller, this fight represented both a return and a reset.
