Katie Boulter on Madison Keys match-up
We’re expecting a battle of two big hitters today. Not too much touch. Lots of striking from the baseline.
“Obviously someone like Maddie Keys is a similar game style to me. She’s got a slam under her belt, so I see no pressure firstly,” Boulter said.
“Secondly, it is a very different matchup. It’s going to be more about who gets the first strike in, who’s on the ball with every single point.
“It’s going to be a very different matchup. I’m going to have to raise my game a lot. Yeah, it’s a challenge. I’m excited for it.”

After her first-round win, Boulter said she was proud of how she had persevered to finally get off the mark at Roland Garros.
“Sometimes I find it really difficult on this surface,” Boulter said, “I persevered and tried my hardest to bring some good tennis and obviously my first Roland Garros win, you never forget those ones.”

Gasquet, who first played at the French Open in 2002 but only ever reached the quarter-finals once, certainly could have had more success if it wasn’t for being born in the greatest era of men’s tennis.
